Rosilia Gomez-Barranco was just 15 years old when she immigrated from the Dominican Republic to join her mom in the United States. As a smart, hardworking teenager, she had big dreams but few tangible resources to help her make them a reality. She took classes in biology and sometimes had only enough money after paying for basic expenses to buy an iced coffee - which became her food for the whole day! Yet, Rosilia leaned into her faith and courage. She found a way to build a life and career in Massachusetts, ultimately working her way through college and landing a steady job at a women's hospital in Boston.

When she was 26, Rosilia met her now-husband, who already had two children. This launched the beginning of a whole new adventure for her - motherhood! Ultimately, she became a working mom of 4 who continues expanding her faith, education, and career while also caring for her own mother at home after a devastating health crisis.

In this first episode of season 6 of the Infinite Capacity Podcast, Rosilia shares from her heart about the highs and lows of the journey, bonus motherhood and blended families, being part of the sandwich generation, navigating surprises and setbacks, and leaning on her faith and inner strength to get through the hardest times. Her heartwarming message of compassion and resilience will make you feel seen and bring real joy to your day!
