Finding Happiness By Trying New Things, Featuring Jess Mell

Andrea Morton Season 3 Episode 41

Alone in her United Kingdom apartment during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jess Mell struggled greatly with her mental health.  Grappling with anxiety and depression, she felt at times that life would never hold real happiness or joy again.  Even though she sought traditional medical treatment and therapy, she was left wondering bleakly if she would ever actually feel better.

Then Jess decided to set herself the challenge of doing one new thing every day for 365 days.  The results were absolutely life changing. Not only did Jess re-discover her happiness and passion for life - with activities ranging from cooking new foods to watching classic movies to beekeeping and traveling - but she is now inspiring countless others to do so worldwide.  As Drew Barrymore recently said on The Drew Barrymore Show about Jess and her project, "I love this. I want to be her. I do."

In today's laughter-filled episode, host Andrea Morton chats deeply with Jess about this powerful challenge that she gave herself... and how others can improve their mental health through hands-on action and trying new things.  You will love this inspiring and fun episode!
